Sailing the Seven Cs: Almscliff Classics
Turns out May-June is the best season for Almscliff! The perma gusty winds keep the good connies way into summer (and too cold for me in winter lol).
3 crag classics in this video with some slightly alt beta in places.
I completely wrote off The Keel when I first moved here, assuming I would be too short without even trying it, so I'm extra psyched to get that ticked. Enjoy!
Climbs:
Jess's Roof 00:55
Underhand Extension 01:53
The Keel 04:49
Music:
Just One Thing - Myst Milano
Eating - Scuti

Chasing Blue Skies: Targassonne Bouldering
Просмотров 1,1 тыс.Месяц назад
This Clingfilm is from a trip to Targassonne at the end of 2023. After getting rained on for 3 days straight in Font and the forecast looking even worse we weighed up the options and decided to embark on the 8 hour drive down to Targassonne. It is an absolutely beautiful place with lots of cool boulders. If you like sharp crimps this is definitely the place for you! Climbers: Elle Partington Ra...

First in the Footage Archive series, where we'll be filling up the scrapbook with a backlog of old footage. These are from a trip to Magic Wood back in 2022 (I did have a very injured shoulder at the time so can only appologise for the topouts). Alt Beta: Kilnsey Link-Ups

A couple of the surprisingly good link-up boulders at Kilnsey crag in North Yorkshire: Launch Control 7C - 00:54 Gleaming Pinch 7C - 02:58 For such a small width of wall there are some really interesting sequences starting at 6C (although the 6C is NAILS). I climbed both of these two boulders with some pretty different beta, finding myself too small to comfortably do the 'normal' methods for Gl...

Ticino 2022 Part 1 | Brione and Chironico 7A - 7C

Here you are, our very first ClingFilm! The filming and production of this video was as much of a hot mess as we are. Visa problems meant Eesh couldn’t make it out on a summer trip we had planned together (hence Elle’s sunny shorts sending). We managed to make it happen in December, and also got a load of Cresciano footy for Ticino Part 2 coming soon. Over all this two part series was filmed ov...

Albarracin Boulders 6C to 7C

Some Albarracin boulders ranging from 6C to 7C from a trip in December. This holiday was my first time climbing after a nasty shoulder injury at the beginning of November so some of the top outs aren't my best work and it took a while to warm into the harder grades, but happy with the final ticklist :) Sends: Techos de Menos 6C - 01:01 El Reloj de Arena 7A - 02:05 ARB-B17-L1 6C - 03:02 Techos d...

First
For information Beatle Juuice starts further down/in. There is a black dot where your feet is suppose to be when you start, the position you start at is after one hand move and a couple of foot moves. Good movie! Wish I saw it before I got there this year :/
Nice one 🎉

Dab!
Reeeaaally
@JBerry got my back
Such a great name for a problem. Great climbing/dancing!!
Isn’t clinical edge a sit start ? It felt a lot harder as a sit start ?
It is, we were there on a very low pebble day and I couldn't reach the start holds from sitting so I had to cheat a bit
some bangers in there! 👍🏻
Thanks! Can't wait to go back there's so much more to explore
small dab in papa chango hehehe nice vid
always found this shit impossible, have to try with that beta next time im there
Horrible liar
Great stuff. I'm off to try it tonight... Wish me luck!
How did it go??
@@ClingFilmsClimbing did it in 2 overlapping links. I read the UKC comments and was lulled into thinking it was going to be soft! Felt nails and every inch 7A+! Great work. Any other recommendations there?
@@smolmaninthepeakdistrict5069 oh sick! Give it another session and I'm sure it'll go down! Beta blocker and Colt are also fun! There were some good ones down at apprentice wall but apparently there's a giant fence the council have put up there now to stop people climbing 🥲
@@ClingFilmsClimbing the colt is awful! How tall are you? What was your beta? Jesus! Great stuff. Managed blind bat which is cool. It's a pity about the fence. Some Londoners put a photo on 27 crags and it did not go well...
@@smolmaninthepeakdistrict5069 5'6" and I did have to use some quite different beta 😅 Can also be cheated with a kneebar which makes it feel considerably easier ;) I should post that video too! Oh nice that ones cool too! Yeah its such a shame :(
The smash music 🤣
Hahahaha amazing
That wasn’t Y-front direct 7a. 😬 that’s just Y-front 6a+…….a good send nevertheless. The reason I know is I just thought I’d flashed the 7a it but after checking the guide book,I’d realised that it was only the 6a+ 🤬
Pretty confident this is the 7A :) double checked in my guide which confirms and UKC comments say the same. The 6A+ is to the left and definitely a sandbag too, closer to 6b+ imo. Some people cheat the 7A by reaching too far left and joining the 6A+ too early. If you used the same holds as me, sounds like you've flashed 7A afterall 😊
@@ClingFilmsClimbing you’re absolutely right! I do apologise,i was categorically told on my WhatsApp climbers group that it was a 7a.I just got confused when I checked the guidebook and was quick to poo poo my send. I forgot to come and correct the last comment 😬 check my page I uploaded the send.i think it was ver6 similar to your beta ✌🏻anyway blah blah……..you keep crushing, all the best 🧗♀️💪🏻
@@ClingFilmsClimbing I think I cheated….😬 but I’ll go and give your beta a try ✌🏻……….. btw.well done on sprung 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
nice!
mega boulders
Hello, there are multiple wrongly labelled boulders and/or betas show. Namely: La Ritournelle -> The holds on the right arete at the finish are not to be used by convention (else easier) Plats de Saison -> the original line goes to the right mantle using slopers (the line shown on the footage is 6C) @02:44 -> Not 'divine decadence stand start' but rather some version of 'Le Surplomb Statique' but avoiding its crux on the characteristic slopers by going to the left side of the 'belly'. Much easier than 7A, probably around 6B+/6C Syphilisse (7A) is a sitstart S'il Vous Plaît has a defined start (without crash-pad with the two hands on an evident hold, dyno to the lip). The version shown on the footage omits the crux by bat-hanging at the start
Aha thanks for the pointers ~ 1) I've watched several videos of this and I use the same holds as everyone else? 2) I've adjusted the grade in the description :) 3) In my guide the one I called divine decedance stand is given a grade of 7A but didn't have a name, so I just called it that for ease. 4) I did the sit start of syphilisse my friend just didn't click play in time, I still wanted to include the video as I found the pop to be the hard move 5) Very aware that the last video is a beta break.. (I even say it in the recording) but I used the marked start holds and that's all the guide mentioned, climb smarter not harder ✌ Anyway I've updated my description with what you've mentioned, hope this helps!
Do you just wander around the forest memorising the guidebook so you can discredit people online?
@@Friction_Addiction sure mate, sure. Exactly that :D
So strong!! Very nice vid! Still fancy uploading the second part of some 6c-7a+ climbs? That'd be my level aha
Hey!! Yes going to do it this weekend hopefully, keep an eye out 😊
Absolute beta spray from the bois
Many of the good climbings there
CHAD!
I like the bit when you go from being on the ground to being on top of the rock
